and Wetumpka, as well as Southern Charm,

“I’m just headlining because I’m the cheapest,” says Green, maintaining his humble,
Southern-boy style that has seen him become one of the biggest live performers in
Calhoun County.
“If it wasn't like last year and only 300 people showed up, it'd still be a good time,” said
Green, who noted that last year’s show was a
simple, but well-executed plan.
Green is bringing back the bash for its second year, featuring a full lineup of local talent
to hold the stage before Green takes over to
wrap the show.
More than 1,500 people attended last year’s
show, a number that Green says was well

Last year’s success created larger expectations, pushing Green to start considering the
business side of the gathering. Plans reach
high — maybe overnight camping at a later
date, or picking up a big-name performer to
headline in Green’s stead — but it’s still too
early to get caught up in the possibilities.
“We’ll learn a lot about where it will go from
this one,” said Green. “There’s a lot of talk and
hype, but we’ve only had the one [show] so
far; I just want to make sure it’s done right.”
