Bradley Randall and his family
will light the Eastern Alabama sky for
the eighth annual Randall’s Firework
Extravaganza on Saturday, July 7. The
pre-show begins at 8:00 pm followed by
the main show at 8:45 pm, located at 111
Forest Bend Road in Piedmont.
Bradley’s grandfather, and veteran of the
101st Airborne Division, lends part of his
land each year for the free event which is
open to the public.
The thousands who have attended this
event over the years know that it is a great
deal more than a firework show. Bradley,
along with wife, Katie; father, Fred; mother,
Lisa; sister, Lexi Suttles; and brother-in-
8
law, Blake Suttles work together to create
an experience that touches the lives of
everyone who attends.
The main show begins with the National
Anthem, followed by part one of a themed
video series the Randalls put together. Fred
Randall developed the theme for this year’s
show. “We try to do something on a war
that our veterans have been involved in,” he
says. “This year we’re doing it on the WWII
memorial.”
The videos and huge firework displays will
alternate throughout the show. Fred says
the videos will feature scenes from Pearl
Harbor, D-Day, and Iwo Jima paired with
interviews with veterans who survived each
attack.
