W
ith Spirit of Anniston’s Christmas
Evening on Noble coming up Dec.
13 at 4 p.m., we decided that we’d
have to do something big to prepare.
The gathering has horse-drawn carriage
rides, cocoa and cookies and Growing
Trends, free ornament making at Still Midtown Ceramics and beloved characters like
Mickey and Minnie Mouse, the Cat in the
Hat, Winnie the Pooh and more touring the
street. There’s a canned food drive where
visitors can support Anniston Soup Bowl by
dropping off canned goods at State Farm
Insurance and plenty of Christmas decorations, too.
INSIGHT: Thanks for sitting down with us,
SANTA! We’re really excited for your appearance on Noble Street.
SANTA: I’ll be happy to be there! What kind
of questions did you have for me?
One particular visitor caught our attention:
SANTA Claus is coming to town, setting up
shop at State Farm Insurance to take gift requests and get pictures taken (bring a camera or have shots taken professionally).
No goal is too lofty for INSIGHT — we know
some folks who know some folks — and we
managed to get a few minutes on an extralong-distance phone call with SANTA Claus
himself at his workshop at the North Pole to
ask questions that we’ve always wanted answered:
