Lights And Decorations
Some people are meant to decorate. They hang lights,
put out the glowing plastic reindeer and an authentic
Santa who really says “Ho ho ho.” We at Insight don’t
decorate, however; we’re completely content to gawk.
If you’re like us, you’ll want to check out these festive
light and decoration occasions and stay away from
ladders, staple-guns and light ropes this year.
• Dec. 2 - Jacksonville Christmas Decoration Lighting - the City of Jacksonville will be lighting up
their decorations today at 4:30 all over town, with
a special gathering in the square at 6 p.m.
• Dec. 2 - JSU in Lights, presented by President and
Mrs. Meehan and the Student Government Association at the President’s home, from 4-5:30 p.m.
Bring an unwrapped toy for a boy or girl to donate
to the school’s holiday helping project if you can;
it’s sure to make a child happy this season!
• Dec. 3 - Homes for the Holidays, a self-driving tour
through Anniston, featuring several decorated
homes to amaze and delight. Starts at 11 a.m. and
runs until 7 p.m. at locations throughout Anniston; call the Anniston Museum at 256-237-6766,
ext 120 for more information about tour locations.
Parades
Don’t try and pretend you’re too cool for parades.
