learn more than how to play a game; they
also learn computer skills, behavioral skills,
and much more.
The golf tournament also supports the
Anniston Police Department’s Special
Response Team. This team is responsible
for conducting high risk search warrants for
the Crime Unit, coordinating details in high
crimes area, and responding to situations
that are at a higher threat level. The funds
raised during this tournament is used for
the SRT to update equipment. Some of
their current items were issued in 1993; and
because the city doesn’t give a budget for
equipment, this tournament creates the only
funds designated specifically for replacing
their expired gear.
While the event is open to the public,
registration already closed due to meeting
their capacity. Sponsorship opportunities
