The facility houses a 200 meter indoor track, a three court gym, a 42 foot rock climbing wall, free weights, machine weights, cardio equipment, an indoor pool, a cafe, and so much more. Chief Ladiga Trail The Chief Ladiga Trail is a rails to trails greenway that extends 32.5 miles the Georgia state line to Weaver, Alabama. The entire trail is paved and follows the bed of the former Seaboard/CSX Railroad. The Trail extends into Georgia as the Silver Comet Trail for an additional 63 miles, making it the longest continuous paved rail trail in the United States. Coldwater Mountain Bike Trail Coldwater Mountain Bike Trail offers everything a rider could wish for: Explore red-dirt trails in a backcountry setting, shuttle the gravity runs and style out the optional technical lines, or enjoy scenic, entry-level trails that will stoke a novice rider’s fire. Mileage: 35-40 miles of purpose built singletrack. Difficulty: Beginner to advanced trails. Hours: Parking area open sunrise to 1-2 hours after sunset. Location: Main Trailhead located off Coldwater Rd., Anniston, AL Choccolocco Park This 300+ acre one-of-a-kind, state of the art sports complex in Oxford, Alabama is complete with baseball, softball, track and field, cross country’ and soccer amenities. In addition, you will find walking and biking trails, all-encompassing playgrounds, bike sharing, and much more at this beautiful park. Choccolocco Kayak Kayak rentals and parking located across from the Choccolocco Park entrance at the ALeon Smith Parkway/Boiling Springs Road intersection. The float takes between 1.5 - 2 hours. Visitors will be transported by van to kayak put-in access point near Cider Ridge Golf Club and then float Choccolocco Creek until they reach the take-out access point at the kayak rental facility. 20 August 2019 INSIGHT
