Christmas Blast - “Celebrating Jesus”
“A Savior has been born…”
Christmas in CGLD is the time that the eyes of many will be glued to their calendars, as it is a glorious time
that lights up a spirit of joy and celebration in every heart.
13th of December in CGLD marked the day when people from different walks of life came as a merry united
body to the campus to witness and be a part of this magnificent festival. The campus lit up as evening drew
near with a fantastic display of color and lights that dazzled the eyes of people arriving at the scene.
The evening kicked off with a delicious fellowship dinner, which was followed by the eagerly anticipated Christmas
Program. The program started with the CGLD choir, led by Rev. Sunny Prasad, singing catchy songs of joy
followed by a very comedic twist on a traditional Christmas play entitled “The Mid-Air Crisis.” The play depicted
how Mr. Crochet (the lead character), a cranky, selfish man eventually realizes the value of relationship both
with God and men after several brief encounters with some “ghosts”. Carols, Songs and dance were some of
the many colorful performances of the night, and even some interesting skillful musical instrument performances
by some talented students of CGLD. The crowd cheered loudly as even small children put on a great show of
dance for the crowd. The evening came to a close on a magnificent high note when the choir presented the
final carol of the night, leaving many with entertained smiles for sure!
