THE PILOT INN
Perfectly positioned at the foot of the south downs and just a short wander to the beach in the picturesque area of Meads in Eastbourne, lies The Pilot Inn; a traditional pub, serving unpretentious, modern British food.
The focus here is on fresh ingredients and honest portions. Pub classics such as braised lamb shank, pies and belly of pork are very popular. The weekly specials board showcases current trends, using local produce offering something a little different to your classic gastro-pub cuisine.
The pub has undergone major refurbishment changes over the last few years and since taking over in April 2016, head chef Christopher Brown and his team have made The Pilot Inn a real‘ foodie’ destination.
Inside the pub itself you will find beautifully designed stained glass, roaring wood-burners, Tiffany lamps and several interesting artefacts, giving the pub a rustic yet refined feel.
During the warmer months there is a large beer garden where you will find walkers, cyclists and locals enjoying fresh seafood, good wine and the relaxed ambiance of the sunshine coast. Locally, the Pilot Inn is renowned for their wellkept ales and also has a separate gin bar.
For those who are visiting the Sussex coast, the pub has three stylish rooms, which are regularly frequented and receive excellent reviews.
Food is served all day from 12pm – 8:45pm Mon- Sat and 12pm-5:45pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Booking is advised, as this pub is very popular!
