Biddenden Vineyards Chegworth Valley Biddenden Vineyards is Kent’s original commercial vineyard, established by the Barnes family in 1969. The 23 acres produce a great range of award winning White, Red, Rosé and Sparkling English Wines. The vineyard is also known for producing the famous Biddenden Cider, a strong, still cider produced from a blend of Kentish culinary and dessert apples, along with Biddenden Farm Pressed juices. Open to visitors all year round with free admissions and tastings of all our products. Visitors can book onto our Free Tours for small groups via phone or email. These tours start at 10am and are available every Saturday throughout the year including Wednesday’s in June through to September. Private guided tours can be booked by prior arrangement through the office. The vineyard shop stocks not only Biddenden products but also a large range of regional produce including our very own traditionally reared beef. Annual events at the vineyard include our Food and Drink day, promoting the Best of Produced in Kent in aid of our chosen charities and the Christmas shop from the beginning of November to noon 24th December. Established in 1983 by David and Linda Deme and with the second generation now fully involved, the farm covers over 200 acres planted with a wide variety of apples and pears, soft fruit, vegetables and salads. Chegworth Valley’s award-winning range of juices are also made on the farm using hand selected fruit which is often pressed within hours of being picked. The juice is pressed in small batches, every one of which is taste-tested by a member family to ensure the best flavour and quality possible. As well as having two London shops and a farm gate shop which is open seasonally, Chegworth Valley offers next day home delivery of their produce and juices, including fruit and vegetable boxes throughout the whole of Kent and London.
