THE SECRET GARDEN
Occupying a 19th Century building once home to the
estate’s horses and carriages, The Secret Garden can
be found in a cobbled courtyard, and once entering,
the reason for our name will become apparent.
The Secret Garden is a glorious ‘off the beaten path’
venue, offering the freshest local fare in a gorgeous
setting. When ?rst stepping inside, you get a feeling of
being at home – with comfy sofas greeting you as you
walk in, just right for afternoon tea and cake. The
atmosphere, both inside and out, is enchanting.
The tables in the main coach house look out onto the
cobbled courtyard to one side, and looking to the other
side you can take in the beautiful views of The Secret
Garden’s orchards and gardens, where we grow most
of the fruit, veg and herbs used in our gourmet recipes.
If you have not been before we can tell you that we are
a beautiful restaurant set amongst the wonderful Kent
countryside. We boast sumptuous views over our large
Victorian walled garden and cobbled courtyard. We
believe in the best of British and offer excellent local
seasonal food at all times.

only use seasonal produce sourced from Kent from
suppliers such as Biddenden Vineyards, Chapel Down,
S W Doughty, Foodari, Bank Farm, The Mersham
Shoot, Griggs of Hythe, Moors Apple Juice, Shepherd
Neame, Winterdale Cheese Makers, Ramsgate
Brewery, Appledore Salads and Simply Ice Cream.
Are you just in for a quick coffee and cake with friends,
or maybe you fancy casual drinks or having a catchup
or a business meeting over lunch? We’re the perfect
venue for meals and meetings of any size. Why not
