THE YEAR OF THE COAST
2023 is the Year of the Coast . This inspiring campaign set up by England ’ s Coast ( www . englandscoast . com ) aims to raise awareness of the English coastline and inspire new audiences to love , visit and protect our coastline . Year of the Coast 2023 also marks the creation of the new England Coast Path and includes a year-long programme of events occurring around the whole of England ’ s coastline , from major festivals to local food markets , arts trails and water sports . And as you know , here in Kent we certainly have a beautiful chunk of the English coast that has lots of must-see quirky shops , bars and restaurants , stunning harbours and piers and of course , plenty of summer events and festivals ! As well as some of the fantastic events below , make sure you keep up with insideKENT throughout the year to keep your finger on the coastal pulse for seaside events and openings over the coming months .
