Whipped Gingerbread and Orange
Body Butter
Recipe from Sensual Sorcery by Stella Ralfini
(£6.99 from Amazon and Waterstones)
What you need
• 1/4 cup of coconut oil
• 1/2 cup shea butter – melt before use
• 2 tbs apricot kernel oil
• Oil from 2 evening primrose capsules
• 1 tsp ground ginger
• 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
• 8 drops of orange oil
What you do
1. Melt the shea butter in a dish over a pan of boiling
water and leave to cool slightly.
2. Add all the other ingredients and whip together.
3. Leave the mixture until it is nearly hardened, then
whip with an electric mixer or egg beater until it
turns fluffy.
4. Transfer to a giftable pot and decorate!
Candy Cane Vodka
If you want to give a gift to someone who loves a tipple
and is a big fan of Christmas then this zingy, minty fresh
take on vodka is sure to hit the spot.
What you need
• Vodka
• Peppermint candy canes
• Funnel
• A bottle (ideally one that looks pretty or that you can decorate)
There are no real measurements here – how much you
use depends on how big the bottle of vodka is, and how
minty you want to make the final result.
What you do
1. Break the candy canes into pieces and place into the
bottle. You can add more as you go if you want to, so
it’s best to start small and work up.
2. Pour vodka into the bottle using the funnel. Put in
as much as y ou want to , but if you think y ou might
add some more candy canes make sure to leave space
for them.
3. It will take one to tw o hours for the candy canes to
completely dissolve and you’ll end up with a pink and
minty vodka drink!
