Attracting audience numbers of over one million in a single India concert, Babbu Maan is making a return to UK with a stop of at The Woodville for the first time on Friday 5th October 2018! Winner of the World’ s Best Indian Male Artist in the recent World Music awards, Maan will perform a mix of old school classics alongside his latest songs from his new album, Ik C Pagal with a full live band. Dr Helen Pankhurst – greatgranddaughter of suffragette leader Emmeline Pankhurst and a leading women ' s rights campaigner – reflects on the changes in the UK since the right to a parliamentary vote was first granted to some women in 1918. Combining historical insight with inspiring argument, Deeds not Words reveals how far women have come since the suffragettes, how far there is still to go and how we might get there.

Survival 2 will be laying down the gauntlet: 10km of running, jumping, swinging, wading, crawling, riding and hauling your body through some brutal natural and manmade obstacles around the old spoil heap at Betteshanger. APPLE & CIDER FAYRE // 6-7 OCT
Join the team at Kent Life in Maidstone for the Apple & Cider Fayre on 6th and 7th October 2018 to celebrate the annual apple harvest when many varieties of apple are handpicked from the historic orchards just days before the festival. Visitors can try and buy from around 35 varieties of apple on sale and interestingly some of the apple varieties date back as far as the 1500s! After choosing which apples to take home, don’ t forget to pick up a free apple cookbook featuring some delicious old-fashioned favourites.
Everyone can also enjoy live music tours and demonstration, Morris dancing and children’ s apple crafts. Watch the traditional process of apple pressing when fresh apples are cut, crushed, pulped and then squeezed in a giant Victorian press to produce the most delicious apple juice. On Saturday, listen to some great live music by Harry Bo, Nick Woods, Frankie Swain, Frank Statesboro and Niamh McSmith. On Sunday, Harry Bo and Frankie Swain, Nick Woods and Frank Statesboro will be back together with additional performances by Tom and Nicky.

This autumn, From the Jam will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of The Jam’ s third studio album, All Mod Cons, playing it in its entirety. As well as classics such as Down In The Tube Station At Midnight and A Bomb In Wardour Street, the band is also excited about playing Billy Hunt, Mr Clean and more.
