RARE CHANCE TO WING WALK FOR DEMELZA
Demelza Hospice Care for Children in looking for 15 plucky people who are prepared to go sky high in a bid to raise funds for the charity.
If the prospect of jumping out of a plane and skydiving scares you silly, this could be the adrenalin rush alternative. No jumping involved – just a graceful soar through the skies, strapped to the fuselage of a Stearman biplane.
Wing Walking is a relatively new experience as a fundraiser and there are only a handful of places in the South East where you can give it a whirl.
Community fundraiser Katherine Cordrey, who has helped to organise the event for Demelza, said:“ Loads of people have done skydiving so we wanted to find something a bit different. Registration is only £ 99 and it will be the experience of a lifetime! All we ask is that you try to raise at least £ 500 for Demelza Hospice Care for Children.”
The Wing Walk will take place at the Damyns Hall Aerodrome, near Rainham, Essex on Saturday 1st July.
You must be aged between 18 and 65 to take part and weigh under 77kg or 12 stone 2lbs – and you will be weighed on the day.
