DARTFORD GETS A CAFFEINE BOOST
UCC Coffee UK & Ireland, the UK’s largest coffee
roaster by volume and market-leading supplier
to retail and foodservice markets, has invested
£2.5m at its Dartford coffee roastery.
The major changes to its Riverside Way site,
which went live this April, increases its roasting
capacity by 50% to 12,000 tonnes of coffee a
year, cementing UCC Coffee’s commitment to
business in the local community moving forward.
Central to the investment at the site, which
employs 85 people, is the modernisation of the
full roasting systems, including upgrades to the
software, green bean transportation and the
installation of a new state-of-the-art coffee roaster.
