SMUGGLERS FESTIVAL Secret woodland location, near Deal 27- 30 Aug
Set within a hidden woodland near Deal, the Smugglers Festival is a must-visit event filled with joy and community spirit, all set to a nature-inspired theme with an intimate feel. With local and national artists performing yearly, the event takes a step away from mainstream festivals, moving towards an organic, magical experience that brings communities together to feel good and dance the night away.

SCADBURY MOATED MANOR OPEN DAY Scadbury Moated Manor, Chislehurst | 12- 13 Sept
A special open day weekend, the Orpington and District Archaeological Society will be opening their excavation sites for public viewing at Scadbury Moated Manor. These areas are usually restricted and offer the chance to discover Tudor foundations and World War II defences that have been uncovered. There will be experts on hand to answer any burning questions and guided tours available.

FUSED GLASS WORKSHOP The Alexander Centre, Faversham
This workshop will offer the opportunity to have a relaxed introduction to working with glass. With a friendly and sociable atmosphere, Jane Padgham will lead the class where you will craft a number of bespoke pieces, which could be anything from coasters to light catchers, keyrings or bunting. You will work with clear glass as your base and fuse glass to create your designs. With a creative attitude and plenty of tea and coffee, have fun embracing your personal taste. Your creation will be available to collect 14 days after the workshop.

PAWS IN THE PARK Kent Showground, Detling 19- 20 Sept
This year’ s event, held at Kent Showground, is promised to be the best yet, jam-packed with have-a-go activities, arena displays and live entertainment. You can browse through the shopping village and explore pet retailers and delicious food stalls, join in with games and annual competitions, or simply just have a great day out with like-minded dog lovers.
