WILD CLASSROOM
From 9.15am - 10.45am on select Thursdays , visitors can partake in a Forest Yoga at Bedgebury class , working at their own pace to become more active , flexible and strong . With the goal of improving mood and reducing stress , Lisa ’ s classes are an excellent way to enjoy the natural landscape of Kent in a small , friendly and supportive group . With no experience required and beginners more than welcome , bookings are currently open between 13 March and 17 April .
Bison Ranger Experiences at West Blean and Thornden Woods , Canterbury kentwildlifetrust . org . uk
A 781-hectare woodland just north of Canterbury , West Blean and Thornden Woods comprise part of the Blean Woods Nature Conservation Review site , with 490 hectares managed by the Kent Wildlife Trust . Placed within the woodland to restore its complex habitats , the West Blean and Thornden Woods welcomed the UK ’ s first bison herd in 2022 as part of the Wilder Blean project . Known as ecosystem engineers , natural bison behaviours such as grazing , dust bathing , felling trees and eating bark manage habitats in ways that no other animal can .
BISON RANGER EXPERIENCE
At West Blean and Thornden Woods , visitors can discover the heart of the Wilder Blean project like never before , joining bison rangers through a guided tour of the reserve as they share detailed insights into the animals and their shaping of the landscape . With no set walking route , the rangers will lead visitors straight to the best spots for possible sightings , showing the latest camera-trap footage of the animals in action back at the Ranger Station . For a day out with your walking boots on , discovering the exhilarating future of this Kentish woodland , the Bison Ranger Experiences at the West Blean and Thornden Woods are well worth a visit .

A former Norman manor estate with grassland , meadows , woodland and a picturesque lake , Brockhill Country Park is a natural space open to all . Rich in wildlife from marbled white butterflies and green woodpeckers to blankets of snowdrops , the park is an excellent place to explore the Kentish outdoors and discover some of the best views of the English Channel .
At Brockhill Country Park , visitors can put their navigational skills to the test on one of many orienteering courses across the park ’ s 54 acres . An adventure sport that exercises both body and mind , visitors can
