Sarah Jayne is a professional entertainer , producer and director and has been in the music industry for almost three decades . As a child , her love for music , dancing and entertaining was clear - performing with musicians across her home county of Kent and producing production shows at school was just the beginning .
In the first few professional years of her career , Sarah traveled to Jersey in the Great Legends Show at the age of 17 , and at 19 , performed in a production show in Hong Kong at The Sheraton Hotel in Kowloon . She continued traveling worldwide , performing in theatres , cruising and working regularly for many of the best venues and resorts in the UK and Europe . Many years and thousands of performances later , Sarah Jayne is now Europe ’ s leading tribute to the Queen Of Country , Dolly Parton , and has performed ‘ 9 to 5 ’ more than 3,250 times in her career so far !
Tell us about you and your journey into the entertainment industry . I have been performing on stage since the age of 11 and I became a full-time professional performer at 17 . I have always worked in the entertainment industry - in the main , being a vocalist and an impersonator , and over the last two decades becoming a producer , tour manager and business owner of a successful production company . We are a family-run business and , together with my husband and daughter , we deal with all aspects of the industry including advertising , marketing , logistics and planning .
Tell us about Country Superstars . Country Superstars is a celebration of the finest country music and is like no other touring show . We are Europe ’ s leading multi-tribute show , paying tribute to 11 artists in an authentic performance portraying each of the artists vocally and visually . The show is fully live and tours theatres and festivals across the country , as well as Warner resorts .
What do you love most about entertaining ? My passion has always been music and entertaining people , creating memories and uplifting audiences of all ages . I love the way audiences react to my performance .
What advice would you give to your 18-year-old self about becoming an entertainer ? Follow your dreams , work hard and go with your gut instinct when it comes to performance opportunities .
What are you most proud of ? What is your biggest achievement ? After a working lifetime of dedication to performing , being endorsed by Dolly Parton herself - who complimented me live on BBC One ’ s The One Show - has to be the top of the tree . I must also mention producing two production shows with my husband and working as a family with our daughter is a huge achievement , too . Finally , performing for Chris Evans at CarFest festival in 2023 on the main stage to approximately 25,000 people was an extremely proud moment .
If you could give one piece of advice to women in business what would it be ? Determination and perseverance is key ; believe in yourself and , crucially , don ’ t sweat the small stuff .
