Rescue Me ! cont ... exercise , which is more accessible to most people . A great example of LISS is walking and Kent has so many areas of beautiful nature to walk in . The key is to keep your heart rate at about 50 - 65 % of your maximum , which is a level where you can maintain the walking pace without feeling breathless or fatigued . I would also recommend you walk for about 30 to 60 minutes for it to be a beneficial amount .
The great thing about walking and LISS is it ’ s suitable for everyone , whether you ’ re a beginner , recovering from an injury , or simply looking for a low-impact exercise . LISS cardio is also amazing for your cardiovascular health , enhancing heart and lung function , lowering blood pressure and improving circulation , which means a reduced risk of cardiovascular diseases such as heart attacks and strokes . LISS cardio is also a great tool for fat loss and weight management , and if anyone does already enjoy more high-intensity workouts or strength training , LISS cardio can be a great recovery tool . Of course , and very importantly , there are also huge mental health benefits from LISS , especially when incorporating walking , which has been proven to reduce stress and anxiety levels .
The release of endorphins during a long period of exercise will also help improve your mood and overall mental wellbeing , so it ’ s a win-win !
