Compton ’ s Kitchens is a close , family run business built on an ethos that each individual customer and kitchen is completely unique and a personal homage to us as a family business . When creating your dream kitchen , you need to follow what vision you have ; this may mean bypassing the ‘ on trend ’ colourways or styles , but ultimately you need to create a kitchen that works for you and your home . We would also suggest doing your own research on what is important to you , which could be where the products are sourced and made . Our bespoke kitchens are all made in Kent with locally sourced wood and this appeals to many people when they are creating their ideal kitchen .
What design trends have you seen in 2023 and what are you expecting to see in 2024 ? Over the past year , colour-wise we ’ ve seen a significant upsurge in green and earthy tones being requested , and reds are now starting to make an appearance too . In terms of style , this is entirely subjective per customer , so we receive as many requests for sleek and modern as we do for country and traditional with beading in the doors and frames ; you can see examples of this in our Canterbury range .
What is the most satisfying thing about crafting these kitchens and what do you enjoy most about the process ? A brief insight into the process and craft of a kitchen is the hours , weeks and months of work that go into each and every Compton ’ s kitchen . Our outstanding product is built upon driven and talented members of the Compton ’ s team , from the creative brains of our design team to the skilled hands of our joiners and fitters . You often catch our designers in detailed meetings brainstorming ideas and then leaving the joiners the task of making these ideas a reality . One of the most satisfying elements of our job is to see all of our ideas come to life once the kitchen is installed and completed .
What are you most proud of ? As a company , we are proud of the way in which we conduct ourselves . Our customers are the heart of our business and make us who we are today . We are very proud of the way in which we plan a kitchen and bring it to life and also of the fabulous feedback we often receive , which always drives us to continue improving our offering . The greatest thrill is watching houses transform into homes and seeing customers so happy with their new space .

Our business is expanding into Tenterden High Street , which is something we ’ re extremely thrilled about . As a business , Tenterden has always been a place that Compton ’ s has wanted to be a part of . This little , local Kentish town is very quaint and unique with a bright buzz from the community , which we , as a small local company , are confident we can both add to and thrive off .
