A wonderful festive treat that is guaranteed to make anybody smile , be sure to give this Christmas-inspired mint chocolate bark a try .
Ingredients :
• 200g good quality dark mint chocolate
• 200g good quality white chocolate
• 4-5 mint flavoured candy canes
• Sugary cake decorations to taste
Method :
1 . Grease a small baking tray and line with greaseproof paper .
2 . Break the dark chocolate into chunks and put into a heat-proof bowl . Put the bowl over a pot with simmering water making sure it doesn ’ t touch the water .
3 . Slowly melt the chocolate and once it has all melted , pour the chocolate onto the prepared tray and spread it out with a spatula . Put into the fridge for 20 minutes to set .
4 . Using a large knife , chop the candy canes into small pieces .
5 . Now melt the white chocolate over simmering water .
6 . Take the tray out of the fridge and pour the white chocolate on top , working fast so as not to melt the dark chocolate and sprinkle with the chopped candy canes and add the little sugar decorations .
7 . Return to the fridge for another 20 minutes until set .
