Discover Bedgebury ’ s living breathing Christmas trees ! A decorated tree is a real symbol of Christmas , and these days Christmas trees come in all shapes , sizes and colours . Some here are true giants ! But how did this tradition evolve from something reserved for royalty into the huge spectacle we see today ? To find out more , pick up an activity sheet from the information point to go on a self-guided hunt to discover some of Bedgebury ’ s best Christmas trees , and use the Bedgebury Pinetum Explorer to learn more about the special Christmas plants .

Working with the National Portrait Gallery as part of the National Skills Sharing Partnership Programme , The Beaney has curated a new exhibition inspired by the Canterbury Museums and Galleries Vision statement to explore : ‘ Who we were , who we are and who we want to be ’.
The exhibition will feature portraits from both the national and local collections that have celebrated Canterbury district ’ s notable associations and residents and will look back over time to discover who we have revered and why , aiming to acknowledge the gaps , the omissions and the forgotten histories as well as looking to the future to challenge what equitable representation looks like .

Join WildBox for an evening of festive cocktail making in the beautiful Orangery at Belmont . You and your guests will create three cocktails with a specialist mixologist ; using locally sourced spirits and seasonal produce , you will create unique twists on classic serves . You will also get the opportunity to learn different cocktail making techniques , put them into practice , then socialise and enjoy your creations . Each guest will get a recipe card , so you can recreate your drinks at home .
