Days Out in Dublin
Do Dublin - Hop-On Hop-Off Tour !
LONDON
Staking its claim as the number one Hop-on Hop-off tour in the Irish capital for over 30 years , it ’ s hard to miss the bright green open-topped buses circumnavigating the city ’ s best sightseeing opportunities , especially when there was a bus stop just yards from The Merrion Hotel .
Not one to usually opt for bus over foot , we were soon enthralled , not just by the recorded informative tour guide information that pointed out everything from key sites such as Trinity College , the Book of Kells and Dublin Zoo , to some of Dublin ’ s more hidden gems like the Little Museum of Dublin , St Patrick ’ s Cathedral and the Teeling Whiskey Distillery , but also but the absolutely hilarious ( ad-libbed to perfection by years at the tour-guiding wheel ) anecdotes by our welcoming and effervescent driver .
The tour is cleverly designed to take in all of Dublin ’ s key sites allowing you to simply ‘ hop-off ’ when you reach your intended exploring destination and ‘ hopon ’ again when you ’ ve finished sightseeing , or if you are feeling particularly relaxed , you can simply find your perfect seat and stay on board for the whole loop !
With lots to see in the city , the 48-hour ticket that we used offers great value for money and allows you to not only take your time and spread out your sightseeing but also to take in more of the places on the route including those more off the beaten track and of course the famous Guinness Storehouse !
24-hour tickets start from € 25 with 48-hour tickets starting from € 30 . Children under 15 are free with a full paying adult .
