LEEDS CASTLE APPOINTS NEW HEAD CURATOR TO BRING THE CASTLE TO LIFE
Leeds Castle has announced the appointment of Sue Prichard as head curator , a role that will see her champion the exciting changes to Bring the Castle to Life .
Sue joins Leeds Castle following successful roles at the Royal Museums Greenwich and at Victoria & Albert Museum with a remit to rediscover the castle ’ s centuries long reputation as ‘ playing hostess to history ’, developing a new visit experience for 2022 , as well as caring for the castle ’ s buildings and landscapes and unique interiors collections .
Sue Prichard commented : “ I am delighted to join the team at Leeds Castle at such an exciting time . Lady Baillie was a true arbiter of taste , a woman who loved collaborating with some of the finest continental designers . She created her own eclectic vision of an English country house , during one of the most fascinating , and turbulent periods of 20th century history . I look forward to revealing some of the extraordinary stories that make Leeds Castle so unique .”
SMASH-HIT WHITNEY HOUSTON TRIBUTE IS HEADING TO KENT
Critically acclaimed international stage sensation Whitney – Queen of the Night is back with its biggest ever UK tour . And this unmissable show now has a new date at Bromley ’ s Churchill Theatre on Wednesday , October 12th and Dartford , The Orchard Theatre on Wednesday November 23rd 2022 .
Having made its West End debut in 2019 , and toured around the world during the past five years , Whitney – Queen Of The Night stars the sensational Elesha Paul Moses ( What ’ s Love Got To Do With It ?, The Voice , The X Factor ) in the title role , supported by a stunning live band .
Speaking about playing Whitney Houston , Elesha said : “ I absolutely adore Whitney . She is a hero of mine so to be able to step onto stage and sing her wonderful , iconic , and timeless songs is an honour and a privilege .

SIMPLY RED & PAUL WELLER ANNOUNCE SUMMER 2022 KENT GIGS
As part of a series of huge summer 2022 live dates , Simply Red , formed by frontman Mick Hucknall in 1985 in Manchester and famed for 13 BRIT nominations , 3 BRIT Award wins and nominated for 3 Grammy Awards has announced it will play at the Hop Farm alongside special guest Lisa Stansfield on Friday 17 June 2022 .
Talking about the live shows , Mick Hucknall said : “ I ’ ve spent most of my life going out and singing for people , and it has felt strange not to have that for such a long time . It ’ s wonderfully inspiriting that people can go and see bands again now , and I can ’ t wait to get back on stage .”
The weekend will see influential artist Paul Weller take to the Hop Farm stage on 18 June which will feature music from his 17th solo album ‘ An Orchestrated Songbook ’ which was released in December , alongside classics from his back catalogue such as ‘ Wild Wood ’, ‘ Wake Up the Nation ’ and ‘ You Do Something To Me ’.
