THE PLOUGH AT IVY HATCH
CHAPTER ONE THE GARDEN ROOM
If you are looking for great food right in the heart of the Garden of England , head to The Plough at Ivy Hatch , a beautifully modern , pub lunch spot . Its light , airy feel makes the dining experience enjoyable and relaxing as well as utterly delicious . The Plough ’ s Sunday lunch is the pièce de résistance of their menu , and is a personal favourite of landlady Katie Johnson . The roast is served with a healthy helping of red wine jus , crispy bacon and leek wrapped beans , perfectly supple honey glazed roasted carrots , and crunchy , yet fluffy duck fat potatoes . The beef is particularly immaculate , with the thinly sliced meat perfectly pink and tender as anything , and the homemade Yorkshire puddings , that bloom like exotic flowers on the plate , are the centerpiece to this lunch that you won ’ t be forgetting anytime soon . Enjoy the showstoppers with buttered neeps and red cabbage . If you have a hankering for pork instead of beef , don ’ t you worry , as The Plough at Ivy Hatch also offers roast pork belly with crunchy crackling , which comes with all of the same trimmings , minus the yorkshires , and with a generous helping of apple sauce . Roasts are served until 5pm every Sunday .

If you don ’ t fancy traditional beef or pork there are also options of salmon and black bream , as well as wild mushroom and leek wellington , for any one preferring a vegetarian option .
