Macknade Fine Foods is the South East’ s leading food hall, built on a 170-year history of food, farming and retailing in Faversham. At Macknade, we are passionate about food and drink, and we love sharing our experience with friends, family and first-time visitors.
From fresh bread to exotic fruit, local preserves and craft beer, our 10,000-sqft food hall houses every sort of a food and drink imaginable … and if we don’ t sell it, we can almost certainly get it for you!
No visit to Macknade is complete without paying a visit to our delicatessen, which is home to one of the largest ranges of cheese and charcuterie available anywhere in the UK. We also have an in-store butcher selling a selection of top-quality beef, lamb, pork, poultry and game, and we are the only certified butcher of pasture-fed meat in East Kent.
Adjacent to our food hall is the Macknade Café, which showcases what can be done with the fantastic ingredients available in our shop. Try one of our famous platters or brunch dishes and wash it down with a cup of our house coffee, direct from the Italian roaster, Manaresi. It’ s a part of the Macknade experience that can’ t be missed.

Established since 1981, Trattoria Romana is a traditional Italian restaurant providing authentic Italian cuisine in Ashford, Kent. We provide an à la carte menu throughout the day with daily specials. Every dish is freshly cooked to order to specific requirements.
We also have weekly changing lunch menus available where you can have a three-course meal for £ 13, a two-course meal for £ 10, or just a main meal with steamed vegetables for just £ 7. Our lunch menu offers a good variety of choice and is great value for money; just click on our set lunch menus from the menu section to view the extensive lunch menus.
We also have a set dinner menu where you can have a two-course meal for £ 16, or a threecourse meal for £ 20. Our set menus include a selection of meats and pasta dishes, all served with steamed vegetables and saute potatoes. Our à la carte menu offers traditional Italian dishes as well as daily specials from seasonal produce. We are open Monday to Saturday for lunch and dinner.
