WHAT’S HOT AND WHAT’S NOT:
WEDDING TRENDS
IN 2020
IF YOU LOVE BEING ON TREND AND YOU’RE GETTING MARRIED IN 2020, THIS HANDY GUIDE TO
ALL THE HOTTEST UPCOMING WEDDING TRENDS IS SURE TO INFLUENCE THE LOOK AND FEEL
OF YOUR BIG DAY. insideKENT SPOKE TO TWO FABULOUS WEDDING PLANNERS ABOUT WHAT
TRENDS THEY THINK WILL BE INSPIRING NEXT YEAR’S NUPTIALS.
THE WEDDING DOLLS
Colour Hair
Couples are still thinking bold and original when deciding on their colour schemes
and during the last few years we have seen couples go bolder and brighter, which
will continue although 2020’s colours schemes are a little less rich and vibrant. Headbands and barrettes are the way
to go. They can instantly elevate any
wedding hairstyle into something
unmistakably cool and unforgettable.
Just the thing to hold your hair out of
your face for that perfect half-up half-
down wedding hairstyle.
Key colour: cantaloupe. Think orange but not orange and peach but not
quite peach – something in between; a little more creamier and not so bold.
Key colour: mint green. Fresh and aligned with nature, but lighter and
gentler than the bolder, darker shades we have seen in recent years.
with options to stay on site and relax.
The trend of staying in bell tent villages
has gone up a notch with venues
offering luxurious shepherds huts and
cottages giving your guests modern
comforts surrounded by nature and
offering them the opportunity to
celebrate your special day and more.

The Dress
Think dreamy feathers and lots of tulle. Feather details have been edging their
way in for a few seasons and will continue to become more popular. Brides will
see more options for them to glam up with a totally feathered dress, or opt for
just a few well placed plumes.
Key look: capes. If you're not into veils, a full-length bridal cape or shorter
capelet is a great alternative: it still adds dramatic movement to your gown, but
feels fashion-forward. Plus, this trend is an easy way to pull off a mid-wedding
outfit change. Wear a cape for a more formal look during your ceremony then
whisk it away when you're ready to hit the dance floor.
What we love about our role as the
wedding planners is finding the right
venue for the couple and the choice
of venues out there is growing all the
time. Lots of venues have spent
considerable time and money over
the past few years creating on-site
accommodation with a difference,
which means that the wedding vibe
can start a few days earlier and
continue for a few more days after
