Denisse Thillet Center for Major Exploration When you were five, what did you want to be when you grew up?- I wanted to be a telenovela actress (soap opera). I used to watch them with my mom and was always very theatrical (or some would say dramatic). What songs are included on the soundtrack to your life?- Hmmmm, I have a few: Bon Jovi “It’s my Life,” Enrique Iglesias “Bailando,” and Marc Anthony “Vivir mi Vida.” If you won a million dollars, what would you do with the money?- I would travel and establish an organization for inner city youth in NYC. If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?- I would love to learn how to paint and play the piano. What is your all-time favorite movie?- My number one classic is Dirty Dancing, and the runner up is the The Notebook. What was your favorite childhood cereal?- I loved Fruity Pebbles! I remember getting money as a child and buying my own cereal box. Leslie Mason Student Transition & Family Programs When you were five, what did you want to be when you grew up? I always wanted to be a dancer when I grew up. What songs are included on the soundtrack to your life?- My soundtrack would include songs that I associate with some vivid memories throughout my life so far, such as “Radio Ga Ga” by Queen, “Mardi Gras Mambo” by the Hawketts, “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da” by the Beatles, and “I Hear the Bells” by Mike Doughty. If you won a million dollars, what would you do with the money?- I would probably do responsible things like pay off my student loans and save for a house. For my one splurge, I’d gather some friends and take them on a trip of a lifetime, probably to somewhere tropical. If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?- I’d love to learn how to really play the piano. I can play a little, but I’m just not very good at reading music. What is your all-time favorite movie?- I love movies, so I don’t know if I can pick just one favorite. If I had to pick a few, I’d at least include Star Wars, O Brother Where Art Thou, and My Fair Lady. What was your favorite childhood cereal?- My favorite cereal was—and still is—Frosted Flakes. 11
