Shop Window Competition Returns for World Environment Day
Local businesses are once again being invited to take part in a shop window display competition to mark World Environment Day, now in its fourth year.
Organised by OTWO in collaboration with the Gibraltar Federation of Small Businesses( GFSB), the initiative encourages retailers to design creative, environmentally themed displays that promote sustainability while enhancing the town’ s visual appeal. Participation is free, with businesses required to submit a photograph of their display by 29 May. Judging will take place in the days leading up to World Environment Day on 5 June, when the winner will be officially announced. Participants are encouraged to keep their displays in place beyond the event as a visible commitment to environmental awareness.

A range of prizes will be awarded, including a free advertising campaign, a 12-month GFSB membership, media features, and a trophy for the best display. Winning entries will also receive coverage across social media and local media platforms.
Businesses are urged to incorporate eco-friendly practices into their designs, such as using recycled or repurposed materials, energy-efficient lighting, and nature-inspired elements. The competition aims to foster creativity while reinforcing the importance of sustainable choices within the local business community.
