Oregon Lighthouse BED AND BREAKFAST

he Heceta Lighthouse Bed and Breakfast 22nd Annual Victorian Christmas Open house begins on December 9, 10, 14,

and 17. There are two Victorian Christmas trees, a train, and there is a visit from Santa Claus. The admission is free and hot chocolate and cookies will be served. The popularity of the Heceta Lighthouse Bed and Breakfast, the light keeper's house has caught attention of people around the world. The lighthouse is working and gift shop is open for those last minute gifts. The lighthouse and the bed and breakfast is registered as a historical site. Christmas time is a unique experience at the inn. People in the coastal community enjoy gathering together once a year to enjoy the Victorian Christmas.

Misty Anderson is the Inn Manager and Event Coordinator. "People are lucky to get a reservation around Christmas. There is a three month waiting list for reservations.The inn and the lighthouse is one of the most popular places to visit." said Misty Anderson. The guests like bed and breakfast decorated in Christmas lights and decorations around the inn. The guest rooms are comfortable and very private. There is plenty to see in the coastal community of Yachats, Oregon. People can visit the lighthouse as it is open all year.

In the morning, guests are delighted to discover breakfast is a seven course meal. The chefs are Mike and Carol Krogan who create the seven course meal. The menu changes every day and all the food is created in house. Guests like the idea of eating the Pacific Northwest foods. The chefs make a meat course, egg course, frappe, cheese, sweet bread, fruit, seafood course, and the orange bread is a favorite. The guests are happy to have these food choices every morning. Artisan cheeses are always included in the different seven course meals. Their cookbook,"-The Lighthouse Breakfast Cookbook," was published in 2009 by the chefs, Mike and Carol Krogan.

The 1894 Heceta Lighthouse Bed and Breakfast is a restored Queen Anne style house with original antique furnishings that guests admire and enjoy all year long!
