wners Marcia and John McCullough clearly have a love of old houses. After Hurricane Katrina left her mark on the world, they
bought four old houses in the historic district of Natchez, Mississippi and started breathing new life in the community as well as into some destitute shacks. From 2007 to 2011 they restored and built two additional Victorian cottages, creating six luxury accommodations. Marcia’s love for decorating is apparent as all the accommodations would rival any boutique hotel standards. The six bed and breakfast cottages are perfect for couples or family stays and can accommodate collectively up to 30 overnight guests. The Evergreen Cottage is a beautifully decorated 1900 Victorian cottage that overlooks the Mississippi River. It is a quiet, private escape less than a mile from the center of town that can accommodate weddings from 2 to 100 guests. Marcia’s Cottages provides everything you would need to make your day memorable. Jim and Sarah Smith are the property managers that can help with every detail. There are five wedding packages for wedding couples to choose from.
Elopement Packages at Marcia’s Cottages include; a Judge or a pastor to officiate the wedding, bottle of bubbly, bouquet of flowers, at least one witness and a beautiful ceremony location overlooking Mississippi River with a one-night stay at Evergreen Cottage for $750. The Platinum package includes two nights at all 5 cottages (accommodates up to 30 people) plus a tent and a catered dinner for up to 30 people for $7,500.
Whether you are looking for an elopement for two or a small wedding with just family – or perhaps a larger wedding with up to 100 guests – Evergreen Cottage provides the perfect setting. The city of Natchez is turning 300 in 2016 and is the oldest settlement on the Mississippi river. In this setting with stunning views of the mighty Mississippi river as the backdrop you will find this to be a perfect location to exchange your vows.
