Whale Cove Inn, an Oregon Coast treasure, first opened its doors in 2007 with owners Carl and Vicki Finseth. This bay hideaway has captured the attention of Andrew Harper and when you see the stunning views of the rugged coastline from your private balcony, you won’t be able to blame him for talking about it in his luxury travel newsletter.
Guests of the Whale Cove Inn have eight exquisite and spacious 900 sq. ft. suites to choose from, each with a Jacuzzi, private balcony, Keurig coffeemaker, and personal wine cooler. Luxury accommodations and exceptional customer service from staff members almost rivals the Inn’s ocean views.
The Whale Cove Inn is of course famous for whale watching and here it’s right from your room. Catch sight of the majestic whales and orcas, as well as some playful harbor seals, without leaving the property, but you may want to see the two bald eagles that hang out front of the inn and love to show guests their catch of the day.
The friendly staff is more than happy to direct you to beach locations for optimal wildlife sightings or just share information on local activities in the area. One thing you won’t want to miss is the complimentary breakfast featuring croissants, pastries and homemade granola, as well as scrambled eggs or frittata dishes; and for those with a sweet tooth, don’t miss the waffles with whipped cream!
Dining at the inn in the evening at www.restaurantbeck.com is convenient as guests can walk next door for their famous tasting menu with wine pairings or the à la carte menu. It is an unforgettable experience as they do 75% of the foraging all their own.
“It is small and not corporate and everyone is treated like family from the time they arrive to when they leave.” At checkout one phrase that is said the most is, “We wish we added another night!"
