All women have an idea in their imagination of what true romance looks like to them and many of us have experienced romantic moments in our life. Is it the setting that makes it romantic? Sometimes. Is it the person you are with looking only at you and wanting only you that makes it romantic? Absolutely. As an adult have you ever experienced making out like a teenager on the beach under a full moon while listening to the sounds of Chicago music. What fun and what a romantic experience. What other place depicts romance more than a bed and breakfast inn? I’ve walked into many different guest rooms at various inns and thought wow, what a romantic place to bring someone.

One of my favorite rooms is at the Victorian House in St. Augustine, Florida. Whenever I need to be in St. Augustine, I call the owner, Anthony Sexton, and ask for “my room”. He knows which one I mean. It has a beautiful king size bed, a luxurious hot tub in the room, a romantic fireplace, along with a balcony that looks out onto St. Augustine. It’s such a beautiful spot for romance.

Across the street from the Victorian House is Casa de Solana. The first time I saw the guest rooms I exclaimed the rooms are fit for a queen. The size, the elegance and design all scream romance. The inn is host to many weddings and the owner, Jeffrey goes out of his way to make his guests happy.

While I’m talking about St. Augustine, I may as well mention another favorite of mine, which is Casa de Suenos (House of Dreams). I appreciate the welcoming atmosphere and the guest rooms upstairs that overlooks Cordova Street from the balcony. I’ve sat many nights up there listening to the horses clopping along the street, drinking a lovely bottle of wine and enjoying good company. It’s a perfect setting for a romantic experience above the city.

So many Inns come to my mind. The Harrington House on the west coast of Florida on Anna Maria Island. You’ll savor intimate charm and casual elegance right on the beach. It’s a tranquil bit of paradise. Many of the guest rooms have French doors leading to balconies, overlooking the heated pool and the Gulf of Mexico. Many couples have exchanged vows in the romantic gazebo or on the white sandy beaches
