Food for thought before Starting on your Own
· A business idea should be well differentiated, scalable
and solve an actual/perceived problem.
· Don't just have a co-founder because he/she is your
friend. e Co-Founders should make a good team and
have complementary abilities. Also, have a CoFounder's agreement to avoid any conflicts in future.
· Entrepreneurship in not easy money.
· It is advisable to keep your family in the loop and
convince them about your entrepreneurial aspirations.
Lack of support from the family acts as a major demotivation during tough phases.
· Do not worry about failures. Always remember failure
of a venture is not the death of an Entrepreneur. ere
are several entrepreneurs who succeeded after their
initial attempts failed.
· It is highly beneficial if you actively involve yourself in
the start-up community. ere are several platforms for
you to do so such as Tie, Nasscom, Meet-ups, Start Up
Saturday, Startup Leadership Program etc. is helps in
staying updated with entrepreneurial ecosystem,
generate fresh ideas, exchange thoughts with
likeminded people, avoid mistakes and network.
· Our biggest hurdle was the cancellation of one of major
event due to multiple reasons. It was big test of our
abilities to persevere when the going gets tough.
