Touching Lives… stand
A lesson of love from a lemonade
Think about summertime activities for kids
… riding bikes, swimming, playing kickball
and lemonade stands often come to mind.
For Megan and Emily, (daughters of Tom and
Erin Quinlan), and Dominic and Roman, (sons of
Len and Sara Bellisario), setting up a lemonade
stand has become more than just an activity to
entertain themselves on a sunny summer day.
A couple years ago, the children set up a
lemonade stand at the neighborhood garage
sale. Rather than keeping the money, they
decided to donate their profits to help other
children. That year they gave the money to
Rainbow Christian Missions. This year they
chose to raise money for the kids at Bethany
House because they had heard that the kids
needed some new bases for playing kickball.
Megan and Emily Quinlan, and Dominic and Roman Bellisario
touched the lives of other kids with proceeds from their
lemonade stand.
As in previous years, the children set up their stand and served lemonade, coffee, and pastries to friends,
neighbors, and garage sale patrons. They even had a few customers from Ingomar Church! To their
delight, they not only made enough to buy the bases, but also many other items like balls, plastic cones,
and hula-hoops.
