46 THE ARTS IN CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOLS Arts integration is an approach that incorporates the arts into other core curricula in order to address learning objectives in both subjects. In the first three years of the survey, schools’ use of arts integration increased from 82 percent in 2012–13 to 91 percent in 2014–15, where it has held steady for the past two years. The most frequently reported arts assets were community arts partnerships and parent and community engagement, both over 95 percent. These two measures have remained steadily high over all five years of the survey. Schools with at least one arts partner ranged from 95 to 97 percent, and schools with parent and community engagement ranged from 96 to 98 percent over the five years of data collection.
