seen that the ICTS segment grew at a Compound
Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 12.4% by increasing
its value added services from RM11.77 billion in
2000 to RM59.83 billion in 2013 (see Table 1).
The ICTS segment is poised to reach the mark of
RM67.99 billion in 2014 by registering another
annual growth rate of 12.4%. In tandem, the share
of ICTS in the national Gross Domestic Product

(GDP) is expected to increase from 3.3% to 6.4%,
almost double over the period of 2000-2014. The
new additional segments constituted about 21.3%
of the total ICTS sector contribution in terms of
value added services.
Public Policy Thrust
It can be also seen in the Table 1 that new
