Figure 5 ( e-f ) showcases two region detection systems . The red region is dedicated to vehicle detection and tracking , while the green region is solely used for illegal parking detection . Both systems function effectively day and night .
The VBITMS dashboard offers a powerful tool for monitoring and analysing the traffic situation in Cyberjaya . With real-time updates and a range of display information , authorities can gain a comprehensive view of traffic patterns and trends , allowing for better decisionmaking and more effective traffic management .
Figure 6 highlights the different types of information available while Table 1 provides a detailed breakdown of each category . Beyond its benefits for traffic management , the data provided by the VBITMS dashboard is also a valuable resource for traffic engineers and road designers , enabling them to forecast traffic volume , design pavement thickness , and optimise transportation infrastructure . Ultimately , by leveraging these insights , authorities can work towards mitigating the impact of traffic congestion on the environment .
