becoming a green and beautiful city . Focus will also be given to preserving biodiversity assets with attractive and creative urban environment spaces and connecting parks in the city .
4 . Climate Smart and Low Carbon The focus is to create an urban environment that emphasises mitigation measures in dealing with the effects of climate change and natural disasters , reducing carbon emissions , increasing the use of renewable resources , and empowering the use of smart technology . This is to ensure Kuala Lumpur is resilient to climate change and achieve mitigation carbon intensity of 70 % by the year 2030 . DBKL has started a low carbon initiative through the implementation of the Wangsa Maju Pilot Project as a Low Carbon City .
5 . Efficient and Environmentally-friendly Mobility The main focus is to ensure a more efficient traffic management system in Kuala Lumpur through the diversity of efficient mobility networks , including improving the public transport system , strengthening active mobility modes , and control over private vehicles , in order to achieve the 70 % modal split of public transport use .
