CHALLENGES AND LESSONS LEARNED
There were challenges and lessons learned during the implementation of the earlier rehabilitation and renovation works to the Parliament Complex . The PWD later adopted much of the lessons learned . Among them were :
As-Built Drawings In the absence of as-built drawings in the earlier years , re-measurement of the building had to be done on site and the building plans redrawn before any designs were done for tendering purposes . The design process took a longer time especially during the 1986 renovations when the drawings were done manually . Later these drawings were kept at the PWD Building Branch main office .
