Welcome to our Dietitians Unite 2023 edition of Infuse !
We ’ re beyond thrilled to be hosting our first in-person Dietitians Unite since the COVID pandemic . We ’ ve missed our in-person events so much and we are so thankful the time has finally come to reunite ! It ’ s an honour to be hosting a wonderful lineup of speakers at Dietitians Unite this year , including the amazing Adam Ferrier and Jamila Rizvi as our keynote speakers . It ’ s only May but it ’ s been an incredibly busy year for Dietitian Connection ( DC ) so far . I am thrilled to share with you the success of our 2023 Gut Health Month Campaign ( more details overleaf ) and would like to send a special thank you to all of our Gut Health Month Sponsors , the creative geniuses at Maverick , the dream team at Dietitian Connection led by Andrea and , of course , you - our brilliant dietitian community for supporting us as we work to improve the health of all Australians , one digestive system at a time .
I would also like to take the opportunity to extend a very warm welcome to our newest team member , Ekta Agarwal . I have known Ekta for almost 20 years when she worked with me as a dietitian at Princess Alexandra Hospital . I was also one of her PhD supervisors . Ekta is already a great asset to our team and I look forward to many more years of working together .
As we welcome Ekta , it is with mixed emotions that we say goodbye to the incredible Dr Jane Winter as she embarks on the next exciting stage of her life : retirement . As an integral member of the team for almost 3 years now , Jane has had a huge impact on DC , for which I am forever grateful .
