CATERING and Contracts Management (CCM) (Pty.) Ltd. is a market

CCM.
CCM’s headquarters are situated at
Rosh Pinah and the company is currently catering for Skorpion Zinc
Mine, as well as for the Rosh Pinah
Zinc Corporation Mine. The company is also doing business with the
Roshkor Township at Rosh Pinah.
“We have also spread our wings now
to the North, and signed a contract
with Dundee Precious Metals Tsumeb
to do the catering for the smelter. Currently we supply 5 100 meals per day
and are prepared to take on other contracts offered to us,” said Schlüter.
CCM, through its effective supply chain, strives to achieve a 100%
purchase through Namibian suppliers,
seeking to empower previously-disadvantaged individuals.
“We are offering complete catering,
hospitality and technical services, with
the focus on the mining and industrial
sector, and that will also include nonstructural repairs and maintenance.”
CCM, through its training academy,
situated on the premises of Skorpion
Zinc Mine, offers extensive culinary
training to previously-disadvantaged
Namibian youths sourced from all
corners of the country.
“Komesho Culinary Academy decided to equip youths with experience
and skills to penetrate the catering and
hospitality industry,” said Schlüter.
The academy, which is affiliated
to the Institute of Hospitality Studies
was created in 2008 with an intake of
seven locals. To date, the academy,
in partnership with the OBIB training centre, has trained more than 65
previously-disadvantaged youths, excluding an intake of 20 students that
are currently undergoing training. A
considerable number of former trainees are currently employed by CCM.
