committed participant with the Salesforce® 1-1-1
Model of Integrated Philanthropy in which we donate
one percent of profits, services, and time to deserving
nonprofits. In this issue, we are spotlighting, our
work for Girl Develop It during a recent Salesforce®
Saturday. Girl Develop It is a nonprofit organization
that delivers affordable programs and content for
women, age 18 and up, interested in learning web and
software development in an environment free of
judgment.
Girl Develop It was founded by Vanessa Hurst and
Sara Chipps in New York City in 2010. Today, Girl
Develop It has a presence in 60 cities around the world.
These chapters are building strong relationships within
their communities, representing 55,000+ members
nationwide who are changing their lives through
learning to code. The organization began with just one
class, which sold out within 24 hours.
Girl Develop it helps more than 1000 students per
month to create new skills with coding and development
work. It is for this reason that we are proud to support
Girl Develop It and the work they are doing to change
lives.”
