SALESFORCE & EMAIL
Salesforce & Email
WITH FURY GROUP
THE NUMBER one question we hear
from our customers is, “Will Salesforce
integrate with our email?” The simple
answer is “Yes,” but choosing the right
option can be tricky.
First let’s look at some benefits of
connecting Salesforce with your email
service. When they are not connected,
operating between the two can be time-
consuming and switching back and
forth can cause a loss of productivity.
This situation becomes even worse
when working from your mobile device.
Additionally, according to data presented
by Salesforce, 89 percent of sales
managers believe their reps are missing
opportunities, while 79 percent of
opportunity data never gets into the CRM
to begin with.
Salesforce offers two solutions—
Lightning
for
Outlook/Gmail
and
Salesforce Inbox. (Salesforce also offers
a product called Salesforce for Outlook
that will operate on older email client
versions, but it is not being improved
upon.) Lightning for Outlook/Gmail is
included with your Salesforce license,
whereas Salesforce Inbox is a paid
addition that offers some additional
premium features. Each solution has its
own technical requirements. The first step
is determining which option is available to
you based on your email application setup:
