rom Bungalow to Forever Home

What began as a modest two-bedroom bungalow has been completely reimagined into a spacious, future-ready family home designed to evolve alongside its owners’ changing needs.
For this growing family, the original layout simply no longer worked. Rather than attempting a series of piecemeal renovations, the decision was made to start fresh. The home underwent a full demolition before being rebuilt with a significant rear addition and a second storey, creating an entirely new living experience while remaining rooted in the original property.
Today, the home boasts six bedrooms, two full bathrooms on the upper level, an additional full bathroom on the main floor, and a dedicated laundry room designed to support busy family life. One of the primary goals of the project was ensuring that every family member had space to call their own, particularly the homeowners’ two preteen children as they move toward greater independence.
Flexibility was another key consideration. A fully finished lower level features its own laundry area and a stylish kitchenette that mirrors the design of the main kitchen. This adaptable space can easily accommodate teenagers, visiting guests, extended family, or future multigenerational living arrangements.
Thoughtful design details elevate the home’ s functionality and comfort. A skylight brightens the upper hallway with natural light, while carefully selected finishes, including custom cabinetry, elegant hardware, contemporary railings, and warm wood flooring, create a cohesive aesthetic throughout. Outside, the striking brick façade and modern black accents give the home timeless curb appeal.
