Where do you find your inspiration for your novels?

I find my inspiration in the real-life thriller type stories, my first thriller, Fair Play was inspired by the Casey Anthony court case and the seemingly common feelings most Floridians had of disgust for her, and for the system that denied Justice for little Kaylee. The anger at the way the whole system works is what kind of brought the whole concept of the 'antagonist' or villain being someone who was tired of the system and just wanted people to pay for their crimes. In the sequel, The Perfect Day the title is actually from a real-life plot of Islamist terror cells who are now in the United States of America. This plot involves all the cells attacking in different cities across the country on the same day. It is very real and our government is very much aware of it, but they choose to stand back and observe rather than pursuing and putting an end to it. In the same way the system of what appears to be a mockery of the justice system was prevalent in Fair Play, the 'sacred cow' of political correctnes hinders common sense steps we might take to prevent terrorist attacks. I like slaughtering the 'sacred cows'.
