Loving-Kindness Meditation
Miatri ( loving-kindness ) is a meditation for cultivating compassion and unconditional love . The simple technique involves repeating an affirmation , such as may I ( or they ) be happy , may I be free of pain and suffering , or may I ( or they ) live with ease , and really feeling the impact of those words .
Walking Meditation
A simple mindfulness technique that can be practiced anywhere in nature , the moving meditation involves walking at a slow even pace while paying close attention to bodily sensations , such as how your feet feel on the earth with every step .
Guided Imagery Meditation
Guided imagery ( or creative visualization ) is a powerful tool for consciously cultivating certain qualities of being , or making a positive change , using powerful imagery to not only relax you , but also evoke emotions and sensations as the body responds to what you ’ re visualizing .
Reflective Meditation
Reflective Meditation is particularly helpful when it comes to making , and trusting , your decisions . You simply set aside time to reflect upon your chosen question or topic of contemplation . In time you ’ ll shift through your thoughts and gain clarity .
