LOCAL TRAVEL
At Pezula Championship Golf Course, the weather had other plans. What should have been a relaxed round quickly became a battle against the elements. Rain, wet conditions, and trying to concentrate on the game are not exactly the easiest combination.
Was it stressful? Absolutely.
Was it worth it? Also, absolutely.
Further along the N2, the scenery begins to change. Yes, there is a toll plaza, but beyond it, the road becomes part of the experience. Forests, mountains, and glimpses of coastline constantly remind you that you’ re travelling through somewhere special.
THEN CAME BLOUKRANS. If there is one place along the Garden Route where you suddenly start questioning your life choices, it is the Bloukrans Bridge. Famous for its bungee jump, the bridge is not exactly subtle about what it wants you to do. Look down and the

enormous drop does the rest of the convincing.
For those who prefer keeping their feet somewhere near the ground, there are also SkyWalk and zipline experiences. Either way, this is the sort of stop where adrenaline becomes part of the itinerary.
I chose the bungee.
One, two, three, four … Before we reached five, I went for it. Think of it as taking a cold plunge on a Monday morning before sunrise, only considerably higher.
