WHAT HAS BEEN A DEFINING MOMENT IN YOUR COMEDY CAREER SO FAR? The defining moments keep changing. Touring and opening for Trevor Noah and Dave Chappelle were huge milestones. At the same time, creating and building my own shows has been equally important. The goalposts are always moving.
HOW DO YOU HANDLE CRITICISM OR JOKES THAT DON’ T LAND? You just keep going. Not every joke is going to connect with every audience, and that’ s OK. It’ s just part of the process.
WHICH COMEDIANS HAVE INFLUENCED YOUR WORK THE MOST? Richard Pryor, Dave Chappelle, and Norm Macdonald have all had a major influence on me and the way I approach comedy.
