LUXURY LIVING
Expansive glazing captures light and frames panoramas, while deep concrete and tiled roof overhangs provide passive solar protection. Sustainability is woven into the home’ s fabric: solar panels, borehole water, and an eco-friendly Calcamite( lightweight, permeable, and durable fill material made from expanded clay aggregates). It’ s used as a sustainable alternative to traditional gravel or stone in drainage applications.
Materiality reinforces the dialogue with the land: exposed concrete, flush-jointed face brick, Karoo Granite stone, and earthy plaster tones. Above, low-pitched roofs are clad in Coppo Domus Rustico Etrusco clay tiles from Coverland – an imported natural clay that promises not just timeless beauty, but also thermal comfort, and a patina that will further soften the structure into the landscape over time.
This house is not merely a residence. It is an exercise in restraint, a tribute to the site, and a testament to luxury defined not by excess, but by harmony. IB
